Cursillo is a worldwide movement within the Anglican Communion.
Exeter diocese is one of 26 dioceses in the UK where Cursillo is active.

Individuals 'make' their Cursillo by attending a three day residential
week-end which begins on a Thursday evening and ends on Sunday afternoon.
During these three days those attending live and work together. Talks are given
by different people, both lay and ordained, on subjects ranging from Ideal,
Grace, and Obstacles to Grace, through to The Life of Prayer,
Study, Action, Lay People in the Church, Sacraments, and The Christian
Community. The talks lead to lively discussion in small groups.
Learning, praying, sharing, singing, laughing and living together is the basis
for discovering what it means to say, "We are the body of Christ."

Exeter Cursillo is administered
by a Secretariat
under the leadership of a Lay Director and Spiritual Director.
Bishop Michael writes:
Cursillo is an important resource for the Church, working in a diocese with the
permission of, and under the direction of, its Bishop. From my own personal
experiences I know just how helpful it can be in enabling people to grow in
their Christian Faith and discipleship. The Cursillo three-day pilgrimage is
not a course in Christian basics but an opportunity for people of faith to
broaden their understanding, deepen their spirituality and to discover and use
their God-given gifts for mission and ministry. It exists to provide support
and encouragement for people as they take a positive role in church life and as
they work and witness for Christ in their personal lives and in the civic,
social and economic life of their own communities.
